Resene Architecture and Design Film Festival 2026
Throughout May, the Inzide team had the pleasure of hosting 17 nights of film, conversation, and connection as part of the Resene Architecture and Design Film Festival. Continuing our sponsorship of the Masters of Architecture series, this year’s festival brought together a rich programme of international and local stories celebrating design, creativity, and the people behind it.
Across the month, we screened a varied lineup: The Great Arch, exploring the 1982 design competition to create a building worthy of the Louvre and Arc de Triomphe; Stardust, following architects Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown’s personal and professional partnership; The Harvard Five, on the architects who sparked a modern design movement from New Canaan, Connecticut; and Prickly Mountain, a personal account of growing up among architects who built rather than just designed.
Beyond the films themselves, these evenings provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with the design and architecture firms we work alongside, and to strengthen those relationships in a relaxed, shared setting. We were especially grateful for the chance to bring these screenings to smaller regions, where industry events are less frequent. For many attendees, these nights offered a rare and welcome opportunity to connect with others in the field.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the festival, and to Resene for once again bringing this wonderful celebration of architecture and design to communities across New Zealand. We’re already looking forward to next year.
