Project Overview

Purewa Cemetery Trust needed to upgrade its funeral lounge to be able to accommodate up to 150 people in a sitting.

Hence engaging with MOA+I to create a high tech funeral lounge that was in keeping with the history of the 55 acre Purewa site.

The flooring needed to be acoustically strong, luxurious and resilient while always looking great. The easy answer was Interface (supplied by Inzide in NZ). Interface is the global design leader for modular flooring. MOA+I quickly settled on the pebbles and cobblestone theme as it allowed for automatic indoor outdoor flow and with its biophilic design, creating a calming feel it was perfect.

The result – truly wonderful, allowing the grieving and life celebration to happen in a very special environment.
