Canopy Cancer Care Kaweka
Project Overview
At Kaweka Canopy, the design centres on creating a space that feels reassuring, calm and easy to navigate. Careful material choices bring together warmth and performance, with the flooring contributing significantly to the atmosphere and functionality of the clinic.
Visitors are welcomed into the space through a beautifully detailed herringbone layout, combining Interface Etched and Threaded Carpet Tile in E615 Birch and E613 Dusk to create a warm and inviting first impression. As the design flows beyond the entrance, E613 Dusk continues alone in an ashlar pattern through the main hallways and walkways, bringing consistency and calm movement through the space. Across the central corridor, E611 Quartz is perfectly centred and framed by E613 Dusk, adding subtle depth and direction to the design. In shared and open areas, Interface LVT Natural Woodgrains Beech introduces a warm, timber look that softens the clinical setting and enhances the sense of comfort.
Durability and performance were key throughout the design, ensuring each space could meet the demands of a busy healthcare environment while maintaining a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Noraplan signa rubber flooring in 7042 Dark Grey, 7033 Mid Beige and 7032 Beige were chosen for high-traffic corridors and clinic rooms, valued for its exceptional resilience and comfort underfoot. Its dense, non-porous surface offers excellent sound absorption, helping to reduce noise and create a quieter, more soothing environment for patients and staff. With built-in slip resistance and a smooth, easy-to-clean finish, it provides both safety and long-term performance. Being PVC-free and low in emissions, noraplan signa also supports the project’s commitment to healthier, more sustainable interiors.
In wet and high-use areas, Forbo Sphera Element in 50003 Light Neutral Grey adds another layer of practicality, a high-performance vinyl with a seamless, hygienic surface that stands up to daily cleaning and strict infection control requirements. Its light neutral tone keeps these areas bright and fresh while offering durability that lasts. Complementing this, Forbo Safestep R11 in 174922 concrete was installed in safety shower rooms and spaces where spills or moisture are common. Its lifetime slip resistance and easy-maintenance PUR Pearl coating make it a reliable choice for areas where hygiene and safety are paramount.
Together, these finishes create a space that feels professional yet welcoming, a calm, high-performing environment that reflects Canopy Healthcare’s vision of care delivered with innovation, quality and compassion.
