Celebrating Michael Long’s Remarkable Career at Inzide

Recently we had the privilege of celebrating the incredible career of Michael Long, a true icon in our industry and a cherished member of the Inzide family for the past 24 years. Over more than two decades, Michael’s journey has spanned advertising, textiles, and flooring, leaving a lasting legacy that reflects both professional excellence and personal dedication.

The evening was hosted at Twofold in Parnell, where family, past and present colleagues, and close industry friends came together to honour Michael. The night was filled with warmth, laughter, and countless stories that highlighted his passion, generosity, and humour. From anecdotes of early days in the industry to reflections on the projects that shaped his career, it was a truly memorable celebration of a life dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

A highlight of the evening was presenting Michael with a custom jacket crafted from Interface carpet, a fitting tribute to someone who has proudly sold over 1 million m² of Interface carpet tiles during his time with Inzide. The gesture symbolised not only his incredible achievements but also his deep connection to the work and the people he has inspired along the way.

It was an honour to celebrate Michael, not only the remarkable legacy he’s built over so many years, but also the great friend, mentor, and colleague he has been to so many of us. His influence extends far beyond his professional accomplishments; it can be seen in the relationships he has nurtured, the guidance he has shared, and the inspiration he has provided to all who have had the pleasure of working with him.
