A Backing that gives Back
Introducing CQuest Bio
Interface has been on a mission to lower the carbon footprint of your space.
Guided by materials science, Interface added new thinking and innovative new materials to make backings with a much lower carbon footprint.
First, Interface added new bio-based materials, and more recycled content to their backings. Then, they measured how these materials influence the carbon footprint. These new materials, measured on a stand-alone basis, are net carbon negative – greatly reducing their carbon footprint of a CQuest Bio backed carpet tile.

CQuest Bio backing also increases (on average) the recycled and bio based content of our products by 1/3rd to 92.8%. As a result of this, the carbon footprint of products with CQuest™Bio backing is reduced (on average) by 33.4%. Depending on the quantity of yarn used the net carbon calculation will be determined.
The finished product brings together durability, industry-leading design, and a negative carbon footprint that ultimately benefits the planet and shows that the pursuits of great design and sustainability are inseparable.
