Retro Blocks provide an opportunity to create a spacial focus in any commercial building. The 600mm x 600mm tiles are manufactured from fibre strengthened gypsum, developed and made in New Zealand. They offer a superior quality of finish that paint and coating systems can be easily applied to.
Plain accessory blocks also exist. Spatial designers can pick’n’mix which blocks are used and in what formation, ensuring a huge array of possibilities. Blocks can also be custom designed to specific requirements.

Retro Blocks are available in a number of 3D designs ranging from simple linear forms to more complex geometric patterns.
These can be mounted either horizontally, vertically, or in a combination of the two orientations. The angles throw interesting shadows and reflections and feature patterns can be incorporated into a larger design.

For a more artistic approach to an interior space, Retro Blocks offer panels of subtle waves as well as a more wallpapered effect, or wall art, not easily replicated by other building products or materials.
These can soften the hard lines of linear design. Larger panels create a seamless flow to give a sculptured effect and form an evocative contrast within the total panel.

Feature walls can be further varied with the addition of ‘accessory blocks’. These are flat Retro Blocks with a plain surface produced in various sizes (21mm deep) and used to vary the way the design blocks are arranged. They can be incorporated to break a ‘grid effect’ and create asymmetrical walls. Accessory blocks make provision for light fittings, signage or shelving within a patterned space.
These plain blocks have functions which are both practical and aesthetic, adding further possibilities for overall design solutions.
