2009 Christmas Excursion to Motihue Island

The intrepid friends and family of InterfaceNZ took off on a balmy Wednesday morning for a day of path clearing and tree planting on Motihue Island. We were joined by a couple of designers who heard about our trip and simply what an amazing day. The sun shone, the saddlebacks frolicked, the soil moved easily and the swamp where we were planting was relatively dry.

So now we have done the three local treasures on Auckland’s back door step (Motutapu. Tiri Tiri & Motihue) and are looking for another location that provides a great day out and then some fun in the surf and sun.

The photos unfortunately were a bit sparse (photographer a bit slack on the day) but hey, we’d encourage you to get over there to enjoy this wonderful asset that we all own.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas
