Installation: Nelson Children's Library
Product: Colour Box – Various Colours
The intent here was simply to make an area specific to children within the context of the wider nelson Public Library. The entrance was to be the key differentiator – It needed to say – KIDS, COME OVER HERE.
And what a statement it made.
Entering into the actual children's library you were then met with fun in the shape of coloured balls on the floor, but nothing too overt – just it is place, fun, bold and alive.
The kids interest is to be the multitude of books available for them. The space simply needed to be friendly, light and open.
