This terminal had its flooring installed in 1999. It used a highly patterned product that was quarter-turned with melded fabric inserts.
Though not an extremely busy airport, it still caters for about 1,000 people per day, which is quite a pounding for a small area of flooring.
We show this gallery feature for 3 reasons.
Interface carpet tile is rated commercial heavy duty and has 15 year wear warranties. This shows that our product meets those warranties.
Look at the swirls, cuts and design. What a great welcome into Nelson. Little wonder this is the home of the 'World of Wearable arts'.
And lasting look. Soiling is carpet's biggest problem. Cleaners are often only around to clean at the end of the day and the quality of cleaning can be variable. Hence selecting patterned product and in the case of carpet tile, quarter-turning it certainly helps hide a world of ills.
Carpet tile has moved on significantly in the last 10 years and Interface now recommends random designed carpet based on the biomimicry concept. These don't require quarter-turning and still hide soiling extremely well.
