Crème Media knocked on our door in early 2010 after we had recently carpeted their offices in carpet tile. They said this is so easy. The product looks great, you wouldn't know it is carpet tile and it is so versatile. You have a spill. You lift up the tile, replace it with a spare one and hey presto within two minutes you've got a great floor back. Spill ink, spill wine, have a minor flood – no problems, just lift it up and replace it. We then told them that they have a 15 year warranty, it is stain resistant, it won't fade in the sun and it has a life-time anti-microbial built into the carpet tile. And if you want underlay – that's easy to. WOW they said – then the lights came on. Would it work for Hotels.
When we told them the number of hotels Grand Chancellor, Accor Group, Garden Hotel Group, Base Back Packers etc. are already using them they were bowled over. The cost of a carpet tile being replaced vs. a room being out of action for a night or heaven forbid, having to be re-carpeted with furniture moved out etc. makes it a real no brainer. And carpet tile these days is luxurious, high pile and comes in an amazing array of designs, colours and textures.
We're sold – would you be keen to have your carpet toile shown on Hotel SOS a new TV programme we're doing…….. And hence the partnership started.
