The Arataki Visitors centre sits in the middle of the Waitakere ranges in West Auckland. It is the pre-eminent attraction for the area containing a wealth of history, local culture and sites of interest for the wandering tourist.

When designing the building, the key requirement was for the centre itself to be a cultural statement for the area, both in structure and in interior fit out. The result met the specification superbly and as you can see from the photos provides a visual extravaganza for all visitors.

InterfaceNZ carpet tile due to its modular nature (function), colour and pattern (design), green credentials (sustainability) and performance (15 year wear warranty (function) met the need brilliantly.

This installation dating back to 2003 aptly sums up InterfaceNZ’s brand value – SUSTAINABLE DESIGN LEADERSHIP.
