This was a tough brief with a tight timeline and nervous management. Wakefield hospital had multiple substrates given the age of the building. They needed sound absorption and sound transmission dampening. They needed one floor colour for two very different buildings in different locations in Wellington. They needed a product that would perform. They needed significant anti-microbial properties built into the flooring solution. They also needed a product that wouldn't ugly out. And they needed it now due to another supplier’s product not meeting these needs.
Opus had no hesitation in recommending INZIDE Commercial and Interface carpet tile. As the market leader with and enviable industry reputation who was just coming off supplying the 12,000m2 of carpet tile for the Cake Tin Stadium in Wellington, INZIDE was the obvious choice.

In addition the substrate was treated with Interface's floor sealer which contains our patented Inter-sept™ anti-microbial. This is rolled on both lengthways and crossways to ensure no gap in the treatment occurs. On top of this is rolled on patented Inter-Tac™ adhesive which also contains Inter-sept™. Hence the subfloor is completely microbial safe. Then the interface carpet tile is placed on top which as indicated above also contains an anti-microbial which is captured in the top cloth layer immediately on the surface of the carpet tile.
