Winning the Ministry of Justice tender was a major achievement for InterfaceNZ and yet another endorsement for our winning formula of service, delivery and Sustainable Design Leadership.
Utilising Interface's Design team to come up with a number of options for the Justice Court system, as a whole, and then taking the winning design concept into the Auckland District Court as a concrete example, created a design story that could be owned by the Ministry, that would give them a distinct look and feel uniform to all their buildings across NZ.
Syncopation was used for the Courts to emulate traditional broadloom and retain a level of sophistication. Bright colours from the 123 range were presented for the Family Rooms with the hopscotch winning universal approval. EntropyRE, offset with bright uplifting highlight tiles of Solid Foundation Tangerine for the public areas, added colour, inspiration and effective wear and stain resistance, required for the heaviest of heavy traffic and staining patrons.
The pictures you see here show the quality of the design team's work.
