St Josephs is a Catholic Integrated school. It relies on parent donations, Catholic diocese funding and grants from community organizations to gain the capital improvements it requires. Hence when capital money is spent it must work, and work very hard.

Outlook Vision title was chosen as it has a random design with mergeable dye lots. The school is planning further capital works and therefore wanted to ensure that whatever carpet was chosen now could be easily transposed into the new areas with no colour variation or wear issues – a very common problem with broadloom. The 20 year education warranty on the performance of the carpet tile was also a key consideration. Simple cleaning and the lifetime antimicrobial properties of the tile were big added bonuses to the decision.

With the performance and longevity questions answered the school board was keen to add colour. With modular carpet tile able to simply be picked up and replaced with whatever tile is deemed desirable, this question was also quickly answered. ABC123 was chosen. As shown in the photos, this lifted the décor enormously and the kids just love it. Now when children enter the library there is a rush to sit on the coloured tiles. More colour splashes are planned in the main admin building so watch this space.
